William Mash was born in Seattle, Washington. He studied at ArtCenter College of Design in Los Angeles, California, majoring in both Advertising Design and Industrial Design. William began his professional career as a sculptor, creating original ceramic art figures and production molds for L. A. Martin Ceramics. He then became an industrial sculptor for the Boeing Company, producing master tooling and patterns for the first 707 Transport. He left Boeing to attend ArtCenter College of Design. After attending ArtCenter, William returned to Boeing as a preliminary design illustrator, producing both art for advanced aircraft concepts, and space technology. After completing a contract at Boeing, he returned to California to become a partner in an advertising design agency, for clients such as Northrop Aircraft, Mattel Toys, Max Factor, Capital Records, Mead Paper, and Warren Miller Films. William currently resides in Poulsbo, Washington, producing paintings of landscapes, marine art, still life, floral studies, portraits, story illustrations, aerospace art, sculpturing, and commissioned art, as well as limited edition prints. His art has been shown in California, and is currently being shown in art galleries throughout the Pacific Northwest.
